I'm very passionate about learning. I listen to a lot of educational podcasts, I watch documentaries and read a lot of articles that may or may not add something valuable. But the more knowledge I gain, I realize that I don't know very much about anything.

I want to change that. That's why I started this blog. The goal of this is that I learn something new almost every day. It does not have to be a skill or very fundamental. But writing it down will help me in a few ways:

  • 01
    Retention

For the brain to remember stuff the same neurons and synapses have to fire multiple times. Repetition is the key, but not all knowledge we come across can be immediately used. Writing it down on the other hand is something one might easily do.

  • 02
    Understanding

The most important part of the Feynman Technique is to imagine explaining something to a child. Breaking your knowledge down into easily digestible chunks will show you gaps in said knowledge that you were unaware of.

  • 03
    Showing Up

This blog should theoretically force me to keep showing up in learning new things.

The journey from studying medicine, working as an anesthesiologist for a few years, to a developer is a weird one. Trying to learn something new every day will help me gain more knowledge in topics I'm not nearly as knowledgeable as I want to be.

Join me on this journey of continuous learning. Everyone started somewhere.

Currently learning in public. Writing about web development, computer science, and whatever else catches my curiosity.
